Toy Issues

Toys are trivial and complicated. As an adult, by most measures, I see something new and non-organic and I try to figure out its function. What should I have connected these wires to on the motherboard? Is the metal rod left in the bottom of the box structurally integral to the chair I just assembled? But toys don't have much in the way of function, or practical function at least. Still, I was enjoying this ball thing that Mr. and Mrs. Schultz sent to the me. It's rattley and clunky and bendy and bright. Then the boy wanted in on the action. He's always nosing in on my stuff. After some grumbling I decided it was toy enough for two. So maybe it did have a practical function. It taught me, at long last, to share.
