Exploring the World

Oh where, oh where has our little Z gone, Oh where, oh where can he beeeee? Z has been visiting family in CA and gathering new tales for his blog. Many, many of them in two weeks time. We will only regale you with the top five.

1) Lessons from behind the wheel: There is nothing more delightful than watching a baby discover their world. Seriously. Grandpa Dave was playing piano for little Z when he decided to chime in. 'Plink plink' (puff, puff, drool...) plink, plink (puff, puff, drool). The rapid acceleration of hyperventilating and drooling is a pretty sure sign that he was having a solid epiphany.

Check out the look of adoration and delight on Nana, Too's face.

2) Resurrection and Dissection: Easter morn, we took Z to see Nana and Grampa at church. They were too busy to join us for the traditional church breakfast, so we Weisses were left to fend for ourselves. It was a baby free for all. Folks we knew were few in number, but unbridled masses came forth for a grab at our beloved Z. Z was passed around more than the communion cup, much to my chagrin. Even clutched to my chest, folks were pulling at him from above, while their small children were pulling at him from below. I made a break for the ladies lounge where I could nurse him in peace, and they followed me in there. Needless to say, we didn't stay for the service.

As a sidenote, Z seemed totally unperturbed by these events.

What a WONDERFUL photo. I hope the Wee Z gets a hefty share of the Campbell musical ability. Nana, Too has yet to take a bad picture.
