Swedish Chef

Uncle Spencer came to spend the day with us, much to WeeZ's delight. Of course he loves Spencer, but he REALLY loves how Spencer plays with Bitsy. The two of them are like a storm - nothing but an amorphorous speeding blob of noise and cat hair, leaping throughout the house. We were able to stop the force for just long enough to build a volcano in the garden, and bake chocolate chip cookies. Z helped. Well, he banged on some bowls, anyway.

WeeZ and Bitsy waited patiently for a sampling of the cookies, despite being informed repeatedly that they were not on the diet plan.

You'll let him eat paper products but not cookies? That's just mean.

What's in those cookies that required Safety Goggles?

Spencer learned the hard way that the dry ingredients fly in your eyes if your face is level with the bowl and you turn the mixer on high.

Did you know...
Swedish chef Lars "Kuprik" Backman claims to be the inspiration for the Swedish Chef Muppet. He says he bothched a 1970s appearance on Tempo-a morning show starring Regis Philbin-by babbling incoherently. Muppeteers say he's wrong. They maintain the gibberish-speaking chef was a creation of Mupper creator Jim Henson's imagination. Regardless, the chef was the ony Muppet in the show that had to be operated by two people. He also had his own brand of cereal-Croonchy Stars.
Well, did ya?
