Self Helper

Now that our boy is 18 months old, it seemed due time to start learning a few "self-help" skills, in the parlance of baby trainers worldwide. We began with a new potty chair. He loves it! Sitting in it is a big treat, especially once he learned that you don't have to straddle the seat back to sit on it. He's even learned to grab a favorite book while he is enjoying a restful moment.

Following a restful moment on the can, comes a playful moment in the sink. Handwashing has proved no challenge to this competitor. He has got that one DOWN. Now, the only problem is that the moment he hears the bathroom door open, he charges the sink, yelling, "WAWA! WAWA!!," and I can't pull him away until several hundred gallons have slipped through his pudgy fingers.
