Um, more catching up....

The last post just tuckered me out, but I'm collected once again. Since the last post, the only real thing of note is a trip to TN to see Bubbie and Grandad. It started out crappy, but ended real nice.

Here we are on day one, at the Comfort Inn in Irving, TX. Seem like a long way from Eastern Tennessee? To us, too. Thank the friendly folks at American Airlines. They may not get you where you need to go, but at least they'll put you up in a motel in the middle of an industrial park for 20 hours.

But early the next morning, we were off and soon at the farm. The boy was quite happy to see his kin.

The weather was fantastic. Pretty chilly in the morning, and high 70s and sun drenched in the afternoons.

We also got to attend Rogersville's annual Heritage Days Festival. Rogersville is about the closest town down the mountain from the farm. Apparently, Rogersville's heritage is mired deep in the stuff of state fairs nationwide. In 1788, a Rogersville native became the first to put meat on a stick.

WeeZ got to spend some quality time with the border collies -- Pixel, Cappy and Deal. Deal eats poop and kissing is off-limits. Here, they alternately threaten and pay homage to the boy, whose odd diaper scent inspired and awed them. WeeZ did not spend time with the anatolians, the pyrenees or the karakachans, because he likes having limbs.

"give us the boy"

The boy helped his grandad solve some tricky puzzles.

"two heads"

The boy hates even a slight incline. Truly takes after his father.

Your pictures are incredible. Is it the camera or the photographer? We need some help! What a gorgeous setting. I love the shots of Mere kissing the little guy. They are precious. Can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks!

What an amazing backdrop. I either need a new camera or I should start hiring out. I love the pics of Zach and Meredith at the end.

It's all the camera. And the backdrop wasn't bad either. Thanks all!
