What Zach did over the weekend...

WeeZ had a very full weekend of visitors and activities. As any good social weekend should begin, he kicked it off with a thorough bath. What he didn't splash off himself, Bitsy made sure to remove with her special rasp-like tongue. (It's clear to me now why babies have smooth skin.) As you can see in the photo, Zach has been perfecting the art of the wave. Does he wave hi or bye-bye? No, of course not. He waves to Bitsy, or during mealtimes when his hand is covered in slimy dinner muck.

Hi Bitsy! 

Jackson and his folks were the first of the weekend's visitors. The boys rejected the notion that a Mexican food restaurant is a place one goes to eat Mexican food, and chose to eat Cheerios off the floor. Yummy.

You may notice that Zach is pointing to something under the table... I have no clue what caught his attention, but there has been a lot of that pointing lately. He and dad usually greet each other by touching their extended fingers, in a very E.T. phone home style, and making beeping noises. Huh.

Next, we were off to see Julie, fresh off the rig in Norway. Julie wowed him with her smooth bongo style...

Finally, Chris and Jen swung by the house to say 'hi' on their way home to Dallas. Zach warmed up to them quickly, and was soon pulling Chris's laces for attention and showing them how his car drives. Bitsy has still not adjusted to being something less than the most interesting thing in our house, and tried to foist herself into the spotlight by strategically placing herself between Zach and the guests.

Nice try Bitsy, but until you let us dress you up in Zach's clothes, you'll never win this battle.

Not related to anything at all, I thought you should know Zach is still emptying the toilet paper roll whenever he gets a chance. I thought it was just a decadent joke, til I caught him flushing the toilet... who would guess that our child would be so concerned about the germs on the toilet tank handle?!
