What will Zach be when he grows up?!

Recently, Jesse and I have had several sit down talks with Zachary about when he is going to be when he grows up. In this day and age, one just can't wait to see how your fancy strikes you at 21, after 3 years of general education classes and 18 years of dilly dallying around. No, one has to be decisive, make a decision early and stick to it. In that vein, we have tried to expose him to some of his options and see if there is something that seems like the right road to travel down.

First, we tried chef. We got him an apron that just matches mine, and gave him free access to the flour, the bowls, the cuisinart and the oven. He made a fine mess and learned what "hot" means, but didn't seem to love it.












Second, we let him try his hand at veterinarian. Here he is trying to perform an anal probe on Sophie the cat. Don't worry - we supplied him with rubber gloves just before things got ugly.







Third up was mechanic. He and pal Martinski got under the hood of a fine Chinese manufactured auto to see what they could do to improve the sweet purr of the engine.













Fourth -- bank robber. Some people might say that he is too young to be exposed to such risk, so we put him in disguise. (Besides, it's a much more profitable endeavor if you don't get caught.) Sometimes, we make it a family activity and wear our disguises on weekends, just for fun.

Zach liked this profession best of all.
